Born in Pozzuoli, Italy, Laura Paglioni immigrated to the United States at the age of seven. She has lived in the city of Chicago since she was age thirteen. She has always been interested in computers and software.Laura Paglioni earned her degree in computer engineering from the University of Chicago in 2006. She then worked as a software engineer at a software company in Illinois for two years. In 2010, she was awarded a graduate fellowship in organizational psychology from the University of Rome "La Sapienza" in Rome, Italy.
