Larry Weintraub's work experiences:Chief Innovation Officer, The Marketing Arm Larry Weintraub is currently a Partner at Rebel Waltz Management from January 1991 to December 1994 (4 years) in Greater Los Angeles Area. I started managing bands when I was 16 years old (mainly because I couldn't play an instrument, so this was the next best thing to being on stage!). In 1991 I started working with music business legend Jim Guerinot and together we ran a personal management company responsible for the careers of Social Distortion, Korn, and The Offspring. Let's just say it was quite a bit different managing multi-platinum world-wide mega stars than managing my friends' band in high school. Assistant Manager at Music Plus from September 1985 to December 1987 (2 years 4 months) in Westwood and Santa Monica, CA. My desire to work in the music business started at a very young age. So as you can imagine, my dream job at the age of 16 was to work in a record store. persisted during the 1980s, small independent stores picked up the slack, so I spent much of the 1980s managing mom-and-pop stores. I got a chance to work at Music Plus in the early 1990s, which was a great experience. I then worked at Amp Management for eight years, which was really fun. However, I started to really care about my job in the late 1990s when I worked at The Marketing Arm, which is where I am currently working.In my experience, the music business is definitely intense and there are a lot of highs and lows. However, it's also very rewarding and I'm very grateful for my experience in the music business.
