💼 Past Experience

Artificial intelligence, computer vision, and reinforcement learning are the three areas of focus for Vicarious AI. AGI is the application that Vicarious AI is most focused on, and it is their long-term goal to be able to give people the ability to create and control AI systems on their own. They are currently working on a project called “Recognize People and Things”, which is a project that is trying to help people Recognize people and things in their environment. This will be able to help people a lot, for example, when they are trying to find their way around and when they are trying to get airline tickets. There are a lot of other applications that AGI can be used for. For example, it can be used to help people recognize other people, and it can be used to help people recognize things.The reinforcement learning project that Vicarious AI is currently working on is called “ maze-fighting”. This project is trying to help people fight against Pirates in a maze-like environment. The Pirates are trying to stop the people from getting to the gold from the treasure, and they are trying to do this by killing the people that are trying to get to the gold. The people that are working on this project are trying to help the people that are trying to help the Pirates, and they are also trying to help the people that are trying to get to the gold. 🎓 Education

Lalin Theverapperuma has a BSc from the School of Computer Engineering at the University of Moratuwa in 1994. She then worked at the University ofMinnesota from 2003 to 2006, where she earned her MSc in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. She is now a research associate at the University ofMinnesota-Twin Cities. Dr.Theverapperuma's current research focuses on Adaptive Learning, where she is working on a new way to teach digital signal processing.

💡 Technical & Interpersonal Skills

Lalin Theverapperuma has a B.S. degree in computer science from the University of Southern California, and a Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering from Caltech. She has experience in both artificial intelligence and reinforcement learning, having worked on productizing AI algorithms for robotics and computer vision deployments. Her notable work in digital signal processing has included developing low latency multi-channel recording and playback systems, and mentoring and directing two interns who researched adaptive signal processing.
