How would you know if your employees are coping with life's ups and downs when your organisation is going through major change? And how would you even know there is a problem? From experience, most organisations suffer from 'workplace pressure' and quite often do not have a solution.
It's not just workplace pressure why employees don't show up to work:
- parenting
- work / life balance
- sleep issues
- healthy lifestyle
All of these are contributing factors to these scary statistics:
- 1 in 5 Australians suffer from a mental illness
- 7 Australians take their own lives everyday (75% are men)
- Domestic violence against women is a serious problem in Australia
I created "UNLEASH" as an option for organisations to get support for their employees to assist in overcoming some of these issues. We have just implemented this into Telstra.
One of my main passions in life is to help individuals unleash their potential when it comes to their mental health and wellbeing. I believe it's so important for us to know how to reach our optimal level...running a small business and parenting 4 children, I get my fix by heading out for a Kite Surf afterwork and on weekends.
