After finally having the opportunity to attend college for the first time, I am very happy to report that I will be graduating in May 2014 with a B.B.A. in HR Management. It's been a long time coming but tenacity and perseverance have paid off! I have my son and daughter to thank for encouraging me to attend college after being laid off during the Great Recession of 2008. To support myself, I sold homemade cookies, cakes, and salads to the local beauty and barbershops in my neighborhood. I eventually sold the above items at the local stepper's clubs at night to generate additional sales and publicity. This money helped pay my household bills as well as support my family, and this was done while maintaining an overall 3.0 GPA as well as a 3.8 GPA in my major, HR Management. I look forward to working at a firm that encourages hard work, tenacity, diversity, and a "can do" attitude.
