As Superintendent for Custom Contracting Ltd. I have the opportunity to work in the healthcare industry of construction. Working diligently with the client, engineering departments and healthcare staff I am able to produce a safe, timely and productive environment. My goal for all projects is to turn over a project in a timely fashion while keeping staff and patients unaffected during construction.
Responsible for projects that range from Life Safety Upgrades, sprinkler retrofits, unit upgrades, elevator modernization projects, and renovation of existing spaces requires my utmost attention. During projects I am responsible for handling day to day activities on multiple projects. Pull planning projects from the start to coordination of all subcontractors and self performing carpentry. Producing projects that meet schedule while turning over a product that meets or exceeds owner and client expectations.
Superintendent @ Currently working in multiple hospitals on multiple job sites managing all trades, schedules and self performing carpentry. Maintaining strict job site protections and containment for patient/employee health and safety. The jobs that I run can include demolition, cosmetic upgrades, complete office/medical build out, job phasing, meeting critical timelines and working closely with project management and building staff to ensure a safe and complete project. I have implemented the last planner system from the LEAN institute on multiple jobs to provide a better scheduled and organized jobsite. From February 2008 to Present (7 years 11 months) Journeyman Carpenter @ Worked mainly on exterior and structural framing and exterior drywall. Completed interior build outs that included metal framing, drywall and accoustical ceilings. For a period of 3 months I worked on a project that included hoisting and directing a crane to install building panels on an 18 story high rise condominium. From September 2007 to January 2008 (5 months) Apprentice/Journeyman @ Completed my full apprenticeship at McNulty. I learned many valuable tools that taught me how to layout jobs off a print, metal and wood framing, drywall, shaftwall systems, acoustical and drywall ceilings. Worked with multiple door and window frame systems along with doors and hardware. Working directly with foreman with 30+ years experience on new and remodeled construction. From August 2003 to September 2007 (4 years 2 months) Greater Chicago AreaAssistant Manager @ Worked as a customer service representative up to an assistant manager where I opened up operations in the morning/ closed operations at night. Managing 2-3 employees at a time, daily paperwork, stocking of the store, count down of registers, quality control. From April 2002 to August 2004 (2 years 5 months) Greater Chicago Area
