I focused mainly on back-end development such as creating Struts controllers, SOAP web service calls, REST services, content caching from their CMS, and general J2EE web application development within their Struts MVC application. I also did some minor work on the front end. Technology stack included Java, Java Server Pages (JSP), JSTL, Apache Struts 1.1 with Tiles, Documentum CMS, XML, XSLT, AJAX, REST and SOAP web services. From June 2011 to December 2011 (7 months) Software Engineer @ Worked as a Java Developer and Front End web developer for several projects. Developed widgets built using EXT-JS for use within the Ozone Widget Framework as part of the IEP Cloud project. These widgets would communicate with each other using a pub-sub mechanism built into the Synapse framework (a Potomac Fusion product). Also developed REST services which provided the data that the widgets would consume via AJAX. REST services where built using Spring. Worked directly with a customer to build a module that would connect two audio serving platforms. The module created a communication bridge between the two systems with different interfaces (one being a SOAP web service API and the other being a socket connection interface using text based commands). Essentially the module served to initiate audio streams, control playback, etc. Technology stack was standard Java and Java Swing for UI, Apache Commons library for command parsing, and Apache Axis2 for working with web services.
