Owner @ Glasgow Underground and Muzique Tropique were my first two labels set up to release my first love in electronic music, deep house. I did put out a variety of music but they are mainly known for that.
Artists signed to Glasgow Underground included Romanthony (vocalist on Daft Punk's One More Time), DJ Q, Mateo & Matos, Powder Productions and Muzique Tropique.
In 2006 I set up and managed the Prestel imprint to release more indie/rave influenced music including Dada Life, Cobra Dukes & Das Pop.
In 2007 I set up the Box Office label to release disco/edits.
With only sporadic releases from 2003-2007 and nothing since then, the renaissance of house music in 2010 prompted the relaunch of the Glasgow Underground imprint starting with Mash's "Somebody's Property" on 14/2/11. From January 1997 to Present (19 years) Owner @ Signed Grum to a multi-album Recording & Publishing agreement July 2007.
Set-up the Heartbeats label and released his debut single "Runaway" March 2008.
Joint A&R on debut album "Heartbeats" with Grum's manager Sarah Bowden.
Secured multi-territory licensing deals for "Heartbeats" including Americas (Ultra), Australia/NZ (MoS/EtcEtc), Germany (WePlay), France (TheHours), Italy (Energy), South Africa (Just Music), Japan (P-Vine).
"Heartbeats" (album) released in 2010 following successful Radio 1 evening plays with singles "Can't Shake This Feeling", "Heartbeats", "Sound Reaction" & "Through The Night".
"Heartbeats" is awarded best new Electronic album by iTunes (US) for 2010 and shortlisted by the UK itunes. From July 2007 to Present (8 years 6 months) Owner @ Discovered Mylo in 2001.
Set up Breastfed, offered Mylo a share in the new company and signed Mylo to multi-album recording & publishing contracts in 2002.
Mixed & created the radio edits for all Mylo output on Breastfed (using the alias Kevin Kennedy).
Worked as a producer on "Destroy Rock & Roll" (again using the Kevin Kennedy alias) including programming, recreation of all samples originally used by Mylo and re-mixing the tracks with the new samples in.
Manage all business affairs, finance & royalty accounting for the label including creating all Artist contracts, sample agreements & world-wide licensing deals.
Product managed all Mylo releases initially independently through our distribution deal with Pinnacle and later through our Joint Venture deal with Sony in the UK.

Aimed at serious dance music fans rather than weekend clubbers, its writers included a number of well-known DJs, including Kris Needs, Rob Da Bank, Spoony, Terry Farley, Bob Jones and Dave Mothersole. The magazine sold over 50,000 copies a month at its peak, but was closed down by IPC Media just one issue short of its 100th edition.
