Mr. Frank is a process design engineer experienced in process evaluations, conceptual process design, detailed facilities design, facility startup, and performance optimization for municipal and industrial wastewater treatment facilities. His experience in linearly progressive project execution demonstrates his ability to understand treatment process concepts developed during early implementation stages and translate them into constructible, operable facilities.
Mr. Frank takes great pride in sticking with projects from start-to-finish that encompasses all phases of project delivery: winning the job with proposal writing and client interviews, providing process evaluation, bench or pilot-scale scale testing, and selection, detailed facilities design and bid package development, construction management support, and finally facility startup and trouble-shooting.
Mr. Frank is also as an expert in the areas of process simulation modeling (GPS-X and BioWin), nutrient removal, and the design of engineered oxygen transfer systems. He has successfully modeled dozens of full-scale wastewater treatment plants across the world and designed several comprehensive aeration systems. Nutrient removal process modeling configurations have included Modified Ludzack-Ettinger, MLE with integrated fixed film activated sludge, Bardenpho, Bardenpho with IFAS, pre-anoxic step feed, post-anoxic single sludge with an exogenous carbon source, staged multiple-sludge systems, cyclic aeration, sequencing batch reactors with denitrification, and simultaneous nitrification-denitrification.
