Through Aikido training I learned the most efficient way to work together. To get the outcome that all parties want, energy should not be blocked, but should be bended and influenced. The philosophy behind this line of reasoning is not only embedded in my personal life, but also in my work life. I followed courses such as 'Inzicht in Invloed' (Insight to Influence), Lean Yellow belt, and Professional Scrum Master. These courses helped me gain the tools needed to incorporate this philosophy in my work life.
As a child, computers and electro technique fascinated me. Due to this fascination, I knew which direction I wanted to take early on in life. I had the privilege to own a personal computer at a young age. This resulted in me trying to get to know the system by trial and error. The challenge was to solve each found error to make sure it does not occur again.
During the study 'Embedded Electro Technique', I learned a lot about data structures and back-end systems. Besides that I discover that my strength is not just getting into the details of the technique. My strengths also lie in creating social cohesion between and within team and client by finding innovative and creative solutions. Being able to shift between the technical side of the story and the social side, results in clear commination and efficient work. Combined with my cheery and extravert communication skills, my enthusiastic, calm, and adventurous spirit, and my open-minded helicopter view, I am of great benefit to any team.
Application Developer, Solution Architect Asset Management @ In 2011 I worked as an Atos consultant for Delta Lloyd Asset Management. I became part of the development team there that monitors and develops applications for businesses. The job required me to be flexible and handle stressful situations, especially in the morning where the Net Asset Value needed to be calculated as it had to be send to the stock exchange before 9:30 AM.
Besides monitoring/maintaining, I continuously strived to make applications perform better and to invent new solutions to make business processes peform more smoothly.
At the end of 2012 I successfully helped migrating the Asset Management systems to the shared infra of the whole Delta Lloyd group.
In 2013 I left Atos and became a permanent employer at the Delta Lloyd group, still monitoring and developing for Asset Management, but also for other domains in the group.
Besides Application Developer, I also became the Solution Architect for Asset Management, where I make sure that new business wishes for the scrum teams match the group IT Software Reference Architecture.
