Experience as a Venture Partner:At Emotient, Ken Denman was a partner in the founding investment group. He was responsible for all aspects of the company's growth, from idea to marketplace execution. He was also responsible for driving the company's strategic plan, developing the company's products and building its international operations. He left the company in September 2011 to take over as CEO of Openwave, a global middleware software innovator of 3G and 4G value-added services for mobile telecommunications industry with worldwide operations.In December 2013, Ken Denman was selected by the Board of Directors of Openwave to execute the turnaround. He led all aspects of the turnaround until it was finally spun off in September 2014 as a division of Motorola Solutions.At MediaOne, Ken Denman was responsible for leading the company's domestic broadband franchise business (which was composed of broadband franchises in Jacksonville, Naples and parts of southern Florida, Richmond, VA, Westchester County, NY and Minneapolis-St. Paul that became Comcast). He also led several international wireless operations, including a joint venture in GSM startups with alliance partner Tele2.Ken Denman was also on the Board of Directors at Costco Wholesale, LendingClub, and AuraServ.At Motorola Solutions, Ken Denman was the lead independent director and chair of the Nom/Gov Committee.
