I started Mystery Science to solve the crisis of scientific literacy in this country by changing the way science is taught in schools. We're reaching children before they've lost their natural their curiosity with the world, and we help them to develop a scientific understanding of it. Elementary teachers around the world are using our online platform to teach their students. We're going to transform the way the next generation of children look at the world by helping them understand the profound role that science & technology play in our lives.
My background is as a product guy, programmer, entrepreneur, and investor. I've started, built, and had exits for three technology companies and spent a little while at Facebook as a product manager. My passion is learning about new developments in science & technology and understanding the implications of them, and teaching other people.
I'm an active investor in private companies including AltSchool, LePort Schools, Square, Angellist, StoryMagic, OKPanda, Philz Coffee, OpenGov, and Tachyus. Some previous exits were Facebook (2010 investor), FeeFighters (acquired by GroupOn)
