Currently employed by a California-based medical device company specializing in the development and distribution of the highest quality medical devices for surgical treatment of the spine. Our mission is to improve lives by delivering advancements in spinal fusion technologies.
Since our founding in 1990, Alphatec Spine has provided safe, effective and innovative products that exceed our customers' expectations while meeting all regulatory requirements in the markets we serve through our commitment to continuous process improvement and quality excellence. We operate in a culture of teamwork that is customer-focused and accountable for results to grow our global market share.
Personally, I strive to provide a patient-centered and solutions-based approach to healthcare. With over a decade of clinical experience as an athletic trainer and leadership experience as the director of a sports medicine team within the NCAA Division I intercollegiate setting, my passion is to partner with surgeons and healthcare professionals alike to transform clinical insights into tangible solutions for patients with disorders of the spine.
Regional Sales Manager @ I directly support the Alphatec Spine field sales team across the South Atlantic region which is a territory that includes the states of GA, NC, SC, and TN.
My objective is to fuel the sales growth across the region as a leader by example. Our performance culture is driven by the following values: integrity, customers, teamwork, accountability, results and community. From January 2015 to Present (1 year) Regional Sales Manager @ I led the Ornim Medical clinical education/sales/marketing efforts across the South and Midwest regions of the USA.
Through a variety of social platforms and professional networks, I maintained a complete and thorough understanding of the industry's requirement for advanced brain perfusion monitoring in a variety of settings. My goal was to develop immediate relationships with physician leaders who worked to improve the quality of life for their patients who either (a) "sustained" or (b) "were susceptible to" brain injury. Additionally, I encouraged our team to perpetually serve as a resource, educating our physicians and their staff on the value of continuous, non-invasive cerebral blood flow monitoring.
Due to my clinical background in athletic medicine, particular emphasis and specialization on my behalf targeted the sports-based concussion market and traumatic brain injury (TBI). This remains a field of study that I am passionate about, and I continue to be an ambassador for the mission of Ornim Medical as it relates to further advancements in our understanding of the concussed athlete. From June 2014 to December 2014 (7 months) Spine Territory Manager @ Employed by a leading musculoskeletal implant manufacturer that was committed to significant technological advancements across a complete suite of spinal products in the global marketplace.
I represented their full portfolio in East Tennessee, providing guidance and assistance to my surgeon/hospital customers ensuring that these medical devices were utilized in a safe, effective manner. Over the course of 8+ years, I enjoyed the distinct pleasure of first introducing Globus to the spine surgery marketplace in my area and built a healthy territory that was founded upon integrity and superior clinical outcomes for the patients we served.
Founded in 2003, Globus' single-minded focus on advancing spinal surgery made it the fastest growing company in the history of orthopedics. Globus remains passionate about utilizing superior engineering and technology to provide the highest quality products to improve the techniques and outcomes of spinal surgery so patients can resume pain-free, active lives. From April 2006 to June 2014 (8 years 3 months) Athletic Trainer & Director - Men's Sports Medicine Dept @ I served as both clinician and director of a comprehensive program within the men's athletic department that delivered traditional athletic training, physical therapy, and sports medicine services to our student-athletes at the University of Tennessee. While I was largely responsible for the clinical care and oversight of the football program, my department played an active daily role in the prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation of injuries and illnesses that affected athletic participation for all men's intercollegiate sport teams. Additionally, we were a vital resource in the health and wellness education of our entire student-athlete population.
The ultimate mission was to offer a proactive healthcare system that (1) reduced the risk of injury to our student-athletes; (2) provided easily accessible sports medicine services that were responsive to the needs of our constituents; and (3) facilitated injured student-athletes' safe return to competitive participation in a timely manner.
