💼 Past Experience

Born in Sendai City, Japan, Kayoko Mitsumatsu has lived in Sendai for over 25 years. Mitsumatsu currently lives in the U.S.A. With her husband, Jaymi, she has three children. Mitsumatsu is a graduate of Kyoto University of Arts and Sciences, where she majored in creative writing. Her novel, "A Dog's Purpose," was published in 2009.Mitsumatsu's work at Yoga Gives Back began in 1991 when she was produced and directed by three of her own childhood friends. She worked as a cultural attaché at the Embassy of Japan in London from January 1991 to December 1992 and then at NHK, Japan Broadcasting Corporation from January 1984 to January 1991. She also worked as a Producer and Director at Three Pines Productions from April 1991 to January 2007. With her writing and producing experience, Mitsumatsu soon became the Executive Director of Yoga Gives Back. As Executive Director, she oversaw the development of the organization's programming, oversaw the implementation of change and created a systems office to manage all aspects of the organization. As of 2019, she remains a driving force behind Yoga Gives Back, serving as Founder/Executive Director and driving change both from within and outside the organization.Mitsumatsu's work with Yoga Gives Back has given her much satisfaction. She has been able to provide Countless women and children in India with access to education, nutrition and self-esteem. She is deeply grateful for the gift of Yoga and for the opportunity to serve India and her fellow citizens.

Based on Kayoko Mitsumatsu's education and work experience, it can be safely said that she is an intelligent and experienced professional historian. Mitsumatsu has a background in Modern History and International Relations, both of which helped her develop her knowledge and skills in this field.Mitsumatsu has worked various positions in the history industry, first as an editor at an educational publication and later as a professor at a university. She has also published a number of works in the history field, including a history of modern Japanese culture, modern Japanese history, and history of the Japanese people. She saw that many of the people were suffering due to the relationships they had with their families back home. Kayoko was also impressed by how Japan had such a strong economy and how people were shining in the face of adversity. She saw that there were many people who were fighting for change, and that Kayoko wanted to help.After working in the non-profit and entertainment industries for over 25 years, Kayoko brings a wealth of experience and insight to Yoga Gives Back. As the Executive Director at Yoga Gives Back, she leads the day-to-day operations, ensuring that all members of the organization are safe and operating efficiently. Kayoko is also responsible for coordinating programming and ensuring that the organizationacoast to coast fulfills its mission of empowering India's women and children.In her spare time, Kayoko enjoys spending time with her family, trying new foods, and exploring new places. She is always eager to learn, and her goal is to help others achieve the same level of success as she has.
