Also have been awarded a HDip in Information Technology from Maynooth University and a BA In Natural Science (mod Botany) from Trinity College Dublin.Software Engineer @ Software Engineer - Java I work as a key software engineer within the Ericsson Network Management tool. The product I work with is Auto Provisioning which is responsible for adding configuration and automatic integration of nodes in cellular mobile networks across a range of major telecom node types (LTE, WCDMA, STN, GSM) through a Java EE architecture. I work in an agile feature team which is cross-functional and covers continuous integration, build, deployment and automated testing. Development responsibilities include analysis, design, implementation, testing and maintenance of software. The design language is primarily Java with Eclipse IDE in windows. Automated testing is done via the user of Docker. Version control is managed by GIT and team collaboration is facilitated using Gerrit. Day to day work involves extensive Java programming, Junit & Arquillian Integration testing and end to end test automation in Java using TestNG and Allure reporting using an agile methodology. March-April 2015 – Bengaluru,India: WIPRO Team On-Boarding During March and April, I represented Ericsson at the WIPRO offices site in Bengaluru, India as an exercise to bring new teams into the product. I worked closely with WIPRO engineers to educate them on the Ericsson ways of working, specifically within ENM (Ericsson Network Management). I focused on introducing the engineers to the agile methodologies including all agile ceremonies and sprint tasks. The new teams successfully integrated themselves into the product in the weeks following where I continued to provide support remotely when necessary. From June 2013 to Present (2 years 7 months) Volunteer @ I worked in an elderly home which involved a multitude of daily duties. I was responsible for cleaning and disinfecting floors and beds, washing laundry along with feeding and washing the residents. I taught English to Nepali ladies as part of a Women's Empowerment program. I was required to plan lessons for every day and deliver lectures and tutorials to a group of 45 ladies ranging in age from 15 to 52. From July 2012 to August 2012 (2 months) Musical Director @ Was the musical director in the camp’s annual drama production where duties included arranging the music, accompanying all singers on the piano and organising and running rehearsal sessions. The culmination of the work was when the campers performed the musicals which they had prepared on stage in front of the whole camp. Duties as a counsellor included supervising campers throughout the day, getting them up in the morning for breakfast and then helping them get ready for bed at night. Also taught swimming lessons and performed life guarding duties throughout the summer.
