Prior to Prevailion, Karim spent a decade working at banking and investment firms in the United States. He first came to the United States in 2001 as a senior executive at HSBC. During his time at HSBC, he led the organization’s internal human resources consultancy. Prior to HSBC, Karim worked at Merrill Lynch where he was responsible for the development and implementation of merit-based decision making in the company.At Merrill Lynch, Karim developed and implement policies that rewarded employees for their contributions to the company. These policies included income premium and death benefits for employees, as well as an incentive system that rewarded employees for their customer service reps. The policies were popular with employees and were implemented across Merrill Lynch subsidiaries.In addition to his work at Merrill Lynch, Karim also spent time at Lehman Brothers and J.P. Morgan. At Lehman Brothers, he served as the Human Resources Manager for the thrift institution. At J.P. Morgan, he was a Corporate Vice President and responsible for internal customer service.During his time at J.P.
