I am a Family Solicitor and Collaborative Lawyer specialising in all aspects of work associated with relationship breakdown. This can affect those who are married, in civil partnerships or who live together. I advise individuals with a range of complex issues, taking account of their needs and expectations. Primarily this involves resolving disputes at the end of a relationship but I also advise on steps that can be taken to protect people in the event of future breakdown. My advice is pragmatic and tailored to each individual client.
My main areas of work are as follows -

Pensions - considering valuations and appropriate orders in relation to occupational schemes, private schemes or SIPPs
Businesses - considering capital value, liquidity and income producing features to see how they are relevant to the financial arrangements
Maintenance - advising on the level and duration of spousal maintenance and whether there is a case for CSA top up
Investments and inherited assets - considering how these may be shared or whether there is a reason to exclude them.
Pre-Nuptial Agreements - recording how financial matters will be resolved should the marriage break down.
Co-habitation Agreements - clarifying the financial arrangements of those who live together and address what happens in the event of separation.
Children - advising on all issues relevant to children including financial claims, particularly for unmarried parents
Collaborative Law - can be used to resolve issues in a non confrontational manner, away from the court.
