A training and development professional with a broad background of recruitment, assessment and delivery of young people onto training programmes. Formerly an IT trainer, delivering CLAIT and IBTII amongst other things, switching slightly to assessing in Customer Service, Business Admin and delivery of Key Skills training and I then moved on to working with apprentices - firstly on MA/AMA schemes, now on the new apprenticeship scheme.
Interviewing, CV writing, employability, sourcing apprenticeship opportunities and recruiting through schools, careers events and partner organisations are an everyday part of the work I do now.
Add this to a varied career history which includes running my own cleaning business, working as a Trading Standards Enforcement Officer and years of administrative/office management work.
I have a passion for apprenticeships and development of young people together with a near obsession for service delivery! Customer Service is probably THE most important skill we should all learn - regardless of what job we do. I will personally pay more to have the same product delivered with a better standard of service than give my money to organisations whose staff don't deserve it!
Personally I'm a parent of 2 young adults starting their own career paths, live with my carpenter partner and have a mad Lurcher cross called Izzy who is the light of my life.
Account Manager - Apprenticeship Development & Support @ Looking after the entire apprenticeship process from managing the vacancy recruitment to supporting the apprentice throughout their programme and everything in between. Working with SEAC as an Apprenticeship Training Agency (ATA), I can offer the alternative way to recruit an apprentice. Even if you're a sole trader with no payroll systems, it no longer needs to stop you from giving a young person a chance to develop their skills with you.
It works equally as well for larger organisations who want several apprentices as I can manage the entire process, even over different sectors with different frameworks and different training providers.
Currently enjoying very much seeing an apprentice start their new job and keeping up with how they are progressing, providing support and guidance and resolving any number of problems along the way.
Happy to answer any enquiries. From October 2014 to Present (1 year 1 month)
