An aerospace electrical systems engineer with a record of achievement in the field of both civil and military aircraft system design and equipment procurement. This has included liaising with customers, programme management, requirements capture, conceptual & detail system design and system validation & verification. Over the last 22 years experience has been gained on various types of military and civil aircraft. Multinational experience has been obtained by periods of secondment to a design team based in Turin and to a trade study group based in Seattle. More recently, experience of compiling and maintaining company engineering procedures and processes, including compliancy against regulatory requirements, has been gained. Since July 2011 I have begun to apply my experience as a consultant via my company, Requirements & Stuff Ltd.
Systems Engineer @ Requirements management using DOORS v9.5 on a new commercial radar system. Responsible for set up, traceability and validation of requirements. From November 2015 to Present (2 months) Systems Engineer @ Responsible for obtaining certification and verification evidence for an update to a legacy missile design using the DOORS requirements management tool. From August 2013 to Present (2 years 5 months) Systems Engineer @ Requirements management using DOORS v9.2 on the A350 Thrust Reverser Actuation System development. Responsible for validation, verification and compliance of requirements at system, equipment and card level of design. From January 2013 to July 2013 (7 months) Systems Engineer @ Obtaining compliance and verification evidence for a missile project using DOORS requirement management tool. Responsible for system and equipment documentation management on numerous projects, based on SAE ARP4751, RTCA DO-254 & DO-178B standards, including project configuration management and document quality.
Responsible for certification liaison between the design teams within Ultra on projects.
Responsible for the definition, organisation and compilation of the Boeing 787 Wing Ice Protection System proposal in 2004.
Responsible for updating and issuing process of the company Engineering Manual, which details the development procedures and processes for systems and equipment and compliancy to SAE AS9100C, EASA DOA Part 21J & CS25 regulatory requirements.
Responsible for the administration of the DOORS tool within Ultra and to provide guidance on the use of the tool. From 2004 to June 2012 (8 years) Senior Systems Engineer @ Responsible for the compilation of the technical proposal for the Boeing 7E7 electrical power generating system, part of the Electrical System (collaborating with Honeywell) and for the Sikorsky S92 electrical power generating system.

Responsible for liaising between Alenia and British Aerospace for technical queries with respect to the Utilities Control System and sub-systems such as Fuel.
Supported top-level design of numerous small subsystems, collectively known as Miscellaneous functions, using the CoRE design tool on EF2000.
Responsible for updating EF2000 Utilities Control System documentation.
