About Julia Deutsch

đź“– Summary

Senior Digital Marketing Executive @ From September 2014 to Present (1 year 4 months) Online Marketing Assistant @ I drove online sales and promoted brand awareness by assisting with the management of all marketing channels including (but not limited to) PPC, Display, Digital Video, Affiliates, Social Media and Social Media campaigns. I managed the day-to-day running of all social channels, including Facebook, Google +, Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest. Using social platforms as a tool for customer service, I interacted with followers. Alongside the Online Marketing Manager and Marketing team, I reviewed the editorial calendars for opportunities to engage with key press and influencers with daily content. On a weekly basis, I analysed, reviewed, and reported on effectiveness of social and digital campaigns in an effort to maximise results. Also, on a weekly basis I reviewed our competitors’ approaches to using social platforms. Through a blogger outreach programme, I supported the Heal’s SEO strategy by contacting relevant bloggers and creating content for the Heal’s blog, The Home Page. I assisted with press loans and press image requests. Finally, I organised, promoted and assisted with the management of Heal’s in-store events. Events included: customer facing events, workshops, press-shows and parties. From September 2013 to September 2014 (1 year 1 month) London, United KingdomE-Commerce Intern @ As the E-Commerce intern at French Connection, I researched and composed content for French Connection's social media platforms including Google Plus, Pinterest and Weibo. I assisted with posts for Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and French Connection's blog, "Off the Record." To create eye catching images for social media posts, I liaised often with the graphic design team. I prepared and circulated an in-house newsletter on current social media activities. I monitored the success of French Connection's social media content through Google Analytics, Twitter Analytics and Re.po.st. Finally, I evaluated competitive approaches. From February 2013 to June 2013 (5 months) London, United KingdomMarketing & PR Intern @ My responsibilities were manifold. I identified potential buyers for our clients’ collections. In preparation for buyers’ visits, I arranged the showroom to highlight fully our clients’ collections. I also managed Sewn Agency's blog. From October 2012 to February 2013 (5 months) London, United KingdomSales Associate @ I worked part time as a sales associate at Whistles, in which capacity I assisted customers with clothing selection and enquiries. From October 2012 to February 2013 (5 months) London, United KingdomE-Commerce Intern @ I wrote the brand’s newsletter, which detailed information on all things current regarding Bolongaro Trevor. In addition, I updated the Twitter, Facebook and blog accounts. Yet, each day was not limited solely to work on the websites, but presented different challenges. For London Fashion Weekend, Autumn/Winter 2012, I coordinated the visual merchandising of the assigned space and worked as an integral part of the sales team. In studio, I attended to customer phone queries and I readily assisted with pressing administrative tasks so that a busy office smoothly functioned. From June 2012 to October 2012 (5 months) London, United KingdomDresser @ Shortly after completing the course in Fashion Show Production at London College of Fashion, I expanded my fashion industry experience working as a dresser for the runway shows, Spring/Summer 2013, of design houses Turk Jadallah, Jena Theo and Project D. This experience proved invaluable for it provided me with further opportunity to participate in fashion show production and management. I am always eager to augment my knowledge in both the theoretical and practical spheres. From September 2012 to September 2012 (1 month) London, United KingdomStudent Director of Campus Conversations on Race @ I was the Student Director of Campus Conversation on Race. Campus Conversations on Race (CCOR) is a program that provides a safe space for students and faculty to discuss race and ethnicity. The CCOR program trains faculty, who in turn train students to co-facilitate peer group discussions on race. Focusing on key topics and themes such as stereotypes, reverse discrimination and white privilege, to name a few, groups meet over a series of regularly scheduled sessions that utilize case studies, personal experiences and the media to engage in meaningful conversation. As Student Director, I oversaw schedules, meetings, pairings of student facilitators and creation of groups. Also as a trained facilitator, I assisted my peers if and when they faced a dilemma within their group. From September 2011 to May 2012 (9 months) Events and Fundraising Coordinator @ BIGKID Foundation is a non-profit organisation, which inspires young people through leadership and mentorship programmes. While working as the events and fundraising coordinator at the BIGKID Foundation, I pitched the idea of an extravaganza evening to raise funds and further lift the Foundation’s profile. The directors supported my vision and allowed me total responsibility for wholly managing the event: coordinating a runway show, working with fashion labels on items to showcase, hiring models, booking musical guests, organising catering and supervising a volunteer staff of ten individuals. The fundraising evening was the first of its kind for the Foundation. Working within a tight budget, the event was a financial success for the charity. From May 2011 to September 2011 (5 months) London, United KingdomBachelor of Arts (B.A.), History @ Colby College From 2008 to 2012 High School Diploma, History @ American School in London From 2004 to 2008 Email Marketing Optimisation @ General AssemblyHow to Create Effective Social Media Campaigns @ General Assembly Julia Deutsch is skilled in: Marketing, Social Media Marketing, Copywriting, E-commerce, Social Media, Musical Theatre, Photoshop, Blogging, Facebook, Public Relations, Event Management, Newsletters, Fashion, Public Speaking, PowerPoint
