Moreno has been involved in a wide range of legal projects, which has placed him in a position to supervise and monitor the work of others in a high-level position. In his work as a legal and national security analyst, Moreno has observed firsthand the challenges that the legal system can face in the face of crime, terrorism, and other complex legal issues. He has also had a chance to develop his skills as a lobbyist, working on issues such as energy deregulation and trade promotion. Moreno has extensive experience in white-collar crime, especially organized crime, and has developed a reputation as a skilled and successful criminal defense lawyer. After law school, he spent a year working in the public accounting firm of Baker & McKenzie in London before returning to New York in September 1997 and landing his first public accounting job at St. John's University School of Law, where he worked from September 1997 to September 1999. Joseph Moreno began his career in the legal field by earning his JD from St. John's University School of Law in September 1999.
