Enrolling at Central Connecticut State UniversityJoseph Farhat became interested in finance while attending Amherst College in Massachusetts. After getting a degree in economics from Amherst College, he studied at the University of Jordan in Amman, Jordan. He then enrolled in Central Connecticut State University, where he earned a degree in finance in 2008. After graduation, he took an investment consultorship in The Social Security Investment Commission and an academic computing consultant at University of New Orleans. He also became an assistant professor of finance at Southern Connecticut State University.In 2019, he joined the faculty of Central Connecticut State University as an interim dean. In 2016, he was appointed chair of Department of Finance. He also professor of finance at Central Connecticut State University from January 2008 to January 2013. In 2006, he became an assistant professor of finance at Central Connecticut State University. From January 2003 to January 2005, he was a professor of finance at The Hashemite University. Joseph Farhat has published articles in journals such as The Banking and Finance Review, The Social Security Investment Commission, and Create Works Publishing, LLC. He has given banquet speeches and presentation at various conferences, and has given courses on finance for MBA and MBA students.

Joseph Farhat has aholding in Economics from University of Jordan from 1995 to 1997. He then earned a Master of Economics from University of New Orleans in 1999. After receiving his Ph.D. in Financial Economics from University of New Orleans in 2022, Farhat was able to combine his skills and knowledge to attain a position as a financial economist at Rabobank, one of the biggest global financial conglomerates.
