Have experience working on enterprise level software with a team of developers. Very passionate about my work, so always wanting and teaching myself the newest tools of the trade. Build Master for Curio Quest @ I will be responsible for maintaining all versions of Curio Quest and releasing builds, both server and client. The tools utilized are Adobe AIR, Action Script 3.0, Java, and Redis. With Native Extensions built in Android and iOS (Objective-C) From September 2015 to Present (4 months) Build Master for Dawn of the Dragons Mobile @ I am now responsible for maintaining all versions of Dawn of the Dragons Mobile and releasing builds, both server and client. From August 2013 to Present (2 years 5 months) Mobile Game Developer @ Worked on help bringing their web games to the different mobile platforms (iOS and Android). The tools utilized are Adobe AIR, Action Script 3.0, PHP, Node.js, Objective-C and Java. From December 2012 to Present (3 years 1 month) Podcast host and creator @ Both host and producer of a podcast dealing with game development, discussing a wide range of topics dealing from game development and everything related by interviewing developers from the industry. From February 2008 to Present (7 years 11 months) Co-Founder and Lead Engineer @ A Digital Treasure Hunting mobile application that utilized Geo-Location to let people discover really interesting content all over the world. As lead engineer I was responsible for the creation of all tech related things. Such as creating the Android app, the entire back-end system and administrative tools for creating content for the app. As well as helped with all design aspects of the application. Methodologies Used We heavily utilized Scrum, doing stand ups everyday and using tools such as Pivotal Tracker and Slack to keep our selves orgainzed. From November 2012 to February 2015 (2 years 4 months) Sacramento, California AreaAdvisor @ Assisting in the growth of the Sacramento game development community by offering advice and feedback when needed. From June 2014 to January 2015 (8 months) Vice Coordinator @ Helping organize monthly events to grow out the game development community in Sacramento. From May 2013 to June 2014 (1 year 2 months) Founder and Organizer @ Organizing large events involving the local colleges and sponsors such as Unity3D, 5th Planet Games, KlickNation and many others. Have helped build up the game development community in Sacramento, find people jobs in the local game industry, formed game development teams, and offered mentorship to many independent game developers in the area. Also responsible for running Game Jams where people actually spend time to prototype game ideas. From July 2007 to June 2014 (7 years) Founder/CEO @ A new kind of gaming portal where our goal is to treat web and soon mobile games like a competitive sport! Created an api for 3rd party developers to use in their games, so high scores could be shown in real time. The technologies used were AS3, Adobe Flex, PHP, and MongoDB. From March 2012 to May 2014 (2 years 3 months) Guest Lecturer @ Teaching a 4 day game development course for german exchange students. Walked them through the game design process, and showed them how to make a game using Adobe Flash CS6. From September 2012 to September 2012 (1 month) Contract Software Developer @ Responsible for building a desktop management tool in Adobe AIR that will generate reports from data retrieved from a driving simulator built in Unity3D. Also responsible for designing both the client (Adobe Flex) and server side code (PHP, MongoDB) for the online version of the management tool discussed above, where all of their customers who have purchased the driving simulators can manage all of their drivers information online. From May 2012 to June 2012 (2 months) Software Engineer @ Implemented core features and did extensive ui work using Adobe Flex Framework and Flash CS5, PHP, Redis, Memcached, worked on two of their games; Age of Champions and Starship Command. From November 2010 to August 2011 (10 months) Game Developer @ Working on social web and mobile based games using Adobe Flex, AS3 and AIR, currently main focus is programming and designing the server side systems (database, web services, etc) for all of the games. Used PHP and MongoDB. From January 2010 to November 2010 (11 months) Developer Evangelist and Administrator @ Essentially a "community manager" type of figure at Flash Game License and everything related. Core job is to help market and advertise the website and assist developers get their games made, advertised, sold or solve any of their problems. Also to help sponsors find, and buy quality games. From September 2009 to November 2010 (1 year 3 months) Software Engineer @ Was one of the core engineers on an enterprise rich internet application using Adobe Flex, .NET, C# and SQL Server 2000. Responsible for managing the finances of the student bodies at the local school districts. Also helped train other engineers, developing, designing, and installing multiple parts of the software.
