Student focused on creating a world with smarter technology.
Primary interests include Parallel & Distributed Processing, Digital System Design, and Machine Learning / Artificial Intelligence. Other areas of interest are app development and bio-technology.
Current endeavors: preparing for a summer research position in Microprocessor-based Digital System Design, and learning how to use new technologies to jump into the world of start-ups. Main aspiration in the future is to have a start-up company which helps improves the lives of others through a device and/or software. The most fulfilling work stems from the positive impact that it has on a human's life.
Unbassador @ Promote Uncubed to students at my university using: social media, club events, general word-of-mouth, etc.
Show other students the benefits of using the Uncubed Edge online learning platform to learn necessary job skills in the tech, business, and design sectors with a focus geared towards startups.
Hold events explaining how Uncubed can help others land their dream job at the Uncubed Job Fair. Companies that post videos on Uncubed Edge explaining key job responsibilities/skills generally will be found at the Uncubed Job Fair. From September 2015 to Present (2 months) Greater New York City AreaTeaching Assistant - General Engineering Department @ Operate under the department's Junior System Administration performing general IT tasks including but not limited to imaging hard drives, installing device drivers, and organizing networking cables.
Grade and review presentations that students give on a weekly basis on lab experiments. Each week consists of different engineering experiments that can range anywhere from digital logic to renewable energy.
Handle issues that students have with grades they receive on lab reports or with general problems they are having with the course.
Help students throughout the semester with their Semester Long Design Projects that are mandatory to pass the class. From August 2013 to Present (2 years 3 months) Greater New York City AreaComputer Engineering Researching & Teaching Assistant @ Research in computer engineering and computer science topics to create a new game using an FPGA board. The game utilizes state machine design and digital logic knowledge. Designs are done in the Xilinx ISE for a Nexys 4 FPGA board and will make use of both hardware-level schematic designs, VHDL/Verilog programs, and C programs. Binary and hexadecimal number systems are integrated for playing and keeping score. The game's main logic design is creating a "smart" machine player that can complete the game as quickly as possible.
The C program is compiled by a soft microprocessor core called MicroBlaze that is designed for Xilinx FPGAs. The C program will serially communicate with a Qt GUI application the team is creating. Communication will be bidirectional between the FPGA and the computer running the Qt application.
The game will be able to be played via switches and buttons on the FPGA board itself or via the GUI. The game's logic portion will be a black-box because students taking the Digital Logic class at NYU Polytechnic School of Engineering are expected to demonstrate their knowledge from class in a semester project where they recreate their own machine player that can successfully beat the game.
Managing the semester long design project of 5 teams in the Digital Logic & State Machine Design class. This includes a weekly 3 hour lab that promotes learning necessary hardware design practices. It also includes a open lab hour every week where students can receive clarification on difficult topics and work on their project.
