Jordan Rosenberg received her B.S. in Computer Science from SUNY Oneonta in 2017. prior to that, she earned her Associate of Science degree in Computer Science from the University at Buffalo in 2012. Jordan began her career as a software engineer at Google before recently obtaining a position as a technical support engineer with ONR.As a computer scientist, Rosenberg specializes in algorithms, data structures, and software design. She is also involved with developing technical specifications and requirements for more than two dozen software development projects.Jordan Rosenberg has ejected into computer science and technology after spending time learning in other areas. She found comfort in learning data structures, algorithms, and software design. Rosenberg has experience working with databases, reassured by her experience with the software development process.“Computer Science podcasts are really great for getting my mind around all the different algorithms and data structures that I’m seeing all the time,” Rosenberg said. “I like getting my hands on code and seeing how it works. It’s great to be able to dissect code and figure out what’s going on.”From her experience, Rosenberg knows that computer science programs can help prepare students for engineering and other professional careers, including working in science, technology, engineering and business organizations.“Computer Science can help students explore a number of options for their career, including engineering and business,” Rosenberg said. “It gives you a chance to learn about a wide range of subjects and see how they can be combined to create something durable and valuable.”
