I consider myself a full stack developer with a wide range of knowledge and skills from back-end database architecture and SQL scripting to front-end client-side languages and frameworks such as jQuery and UX design principles. I specialise in .NET and other Microsoft related technologies. I am currently employed by The WorkCast Corporation based in Durham, developing solutions in the media streaming industry for clients such as EE, Oracle and Sony. I am the Lead Developer for WorkCast Studio - the core aspect of the WorkCast platform for delivering live streaming content to audiences. I am also involved with maintaining and improving functionality for the WorkCast platform which is responsible for creating, managing and publishing live/on-demand webinars, online events and virtual conferences. Colleagues know me as an highly skilled and incredibly hard-working individual who takes great pride in his work. I have a strong interest and passion for software architecture and test-driven development. I continuously keep up-to-date with the latest technologies in the software industry and regularly attend developer orientated events such as NE Bytes to discuss trends and network with people of similar professions. I am also a Code Club volunteer which allows me to help educate and teach primary school children the basic principles of programming.
