My passion for technology and its ability to change the world is in my DNA.
I have siblings who are in the business. I also found out rather recently that an uncle ran a logistics operation in the Pacific in WWII using one of the first computer systems in use by the U.S. Navy. A cousin works in research and development center at Hewlett-Packard.
There was no escaping technology as a career.
Originally being from the San Francisco Bay Area of Northern California, I’ve now had the opportunity to reside on three continents; in cities that have included Seattle, Paris, and Los Angeles. I now call Sydney home.
I’ve spent the better part of my career in digital media, marketing, and technology and I tend to go back and forth from full-time employee to independent consultant. During this time I’ve had the opportunity to travel widely for projects, including being based in the Silicon Valley, Europe, and Australia.
Through the course of my career, I’ve gained expertise in digital media, software, and systems, with a view of the continual evolution of the Internet from a 'front-row' seat. I read and study new technologies at every opportunity, and this gives me enough data points to see the trajectory and peek beyond the horizon to see ‘what’s next?’
I have had the privilege of working with award-winning teams at Fortune 500 companies such as Microsoft and Disney Interactive as well as many small and non-profit businesses. One of my passions is the study of leadership, and I’ve been superbly fortunate to work on digital projects relating to Sir Winston Churchill for both The Churchill Centre and Bloomsbury Digital.
I persist in having a long-lasting, inquisitive relationship with technology, with a particular fascination for its effects on humanity. Having lived abroad instilled in me an ongoing passion for the study of different cultures and I continue to be an ardent student of history, leadership, and the human endeavour.
