i John Maalouf was born in Beirut, Lebanon in 1973. He holds a degree in English from the University of Aberdeen in 1995. Mr. Maalouf then moved to the U.S. in early 2005 and began his legal career at the law firm of Maalouf Ashford & Talbot, LLP. After a five year stint in the U.S. as a Senior Partner, John Maalouf returned to Scotland to become a Senior Associate at Maalouf Ashford & Talbot, LLP. In that role, John Maalouf focused on international and commercial litigation, as well as arbitration. In December of 2007, John Maalouf was appointed as a Member of the International Arbitration Association (ISA). John Maalouf has also been an arbitrator at the ICC Arbitration Center, the Saudi Center for Commercial Arbitration (SCCA), and the Singapore International Arbitration Centre. In addition, John Maalouf is a member of the Executive Committee of The Oil Council. John Maalouf is also a former Judicial Arbitrator for the Scottish Sheriff Court and a former Judicial Arbitrator for the English County Court.
