From 2013 through May 2015, Mr. Foley served as Vice President & General Manager of the North America region for Solvay Novecare, a global business unit (GBU) of the Solvay Group. The GBU makes specialty surfactants and chemicals for the agrochemicals, coatings, home & personal care, industrial and oil & gas markets.
In his role, Mr. Foley is responsible for delivering North America’s financial targets and growing the business in line with Novecare’s Roadmap. He oversees and manages North America’s eight manufacturing sites, its sales and customer service operations, and the regional supply chain and purchasing functions. In addition, Mr. Foley is responsible for supporting and leading the integration of key acquisitions and expansion projects in the region. Based in the GBU’s global headquarters of Cranbury, New Jersey, he is a member of the Worldwide Decision Committee (WWDC), Novecare’s global leadership team.
Prior to his current role, Mr. Foley served as Vice President of Solvay Novecare’s Industrial & Coatings markets and has held numerous sales and commercial positions with the company since joining Solvay via its legacy Rhodia business in 1989. An agricultural economist by training, Mr. Foley earned his bachelor’s degree in Agriculture Economics from the University of Nebraska in 1984 and a general management certificate from Harvard University’s General Manager Program in 2001.
