đź“– Summary
THOUGHTS OF A NATIVE SON. Issues On Immigration And Integration. Joel Savage is a freelance writer, who enjoys the challenges of creativity and adventure. His work is considered to be pure genre of creative nonfiction of human touch, with appeal to a broad general audience. His books are on immigration issues and music. Efforts to protect borders, combat child trafficking and reduce the flow of immigrants from Third World Countries flooding Europe and America, haven’t been successful, making immigration reform and laws rather a joke. There are many books about immigration and integration, but as an African writer living in Europe and a witness to immigration issues, Joel's heartbreaking stories make his books exceptional. The political debate on immi¬gra¬tion is interesting to read in advanced or developed countries, but Third World or poverty stricken countries know nothing about it, that’s the reason they keep coming. In my opinion deportation of illegal immigrants is a waste of money, since seven out of ten deportees, find their way back to Europe. The right thing needs to be done. They(colonial masters) underdeveloped Africa, (because they were only interested in looting, not in development) they should therefore help to build it back and encourage investment to create jobs for the people. That will decrease the mass immigration to Europe. Joel has written seven novels and working on other new projects. The writer, African-Belgian, is a member of the Flemish Journalists Association. He writes for Diplomatic Aspects Newspaper and currently lives in Antwerp, Belgium, with his wife and three children.Writer @ Served as Belgium's correspondent to The Voice Magazine (Holland) since 2000, contributing regularly to the Features Column.
