Since his college days, Jim Scheinman has been interested in the relationship between mind and brain. He started his professional career focused on working on blood pressure measures and neural responses in humans. However, during his five years at UC Davis, Jim's interests turned to cognitive neuroscience and memory research. In 1997, he attained his PhD in cognitive neuroscience from UC Davis.Jim has been working as an postdoctoral fellow at the University of California, Irvine for the past two years. His current research focuses on the neural correlates of working memory and episodic memory. He is also a professor at UC Irvine.Jim Scheinman is a professor at UC Irvine and a professor at UC Berkeley. He has authored over seventy-five research articles and one book. His current research interests focus on the neural correlates of working memory and episodic memory.
