🎓 Education

Jim Muehlhausen's education has roots in accounting and law. At Valparaiso University, Jim studied accounting and law with a focus on legal analysis and court cases. After completing his studies at Indiana University Bloomington in 1989, he obtained his JD from the same institution.Jim has practiced law ever since, first with the law firm of Ford, Gladden and McGill, then several years with the law firm of Wiley Rein. He has also been a lecturer at Indiana University Bloomington, and traveled to New York City, The Hague, and London to lecture on a variety of legal topics.His legal experience has taken him to a number of legal clinics and law firms, where he has given seminars and presentations on legal ethics and practice. He has also been a magistrate judge for the circuit court of Findlay, Ohio, and has had an opportunity to work in a variety of legal positions in state and federal courts. confines largely to the Courts of Law, state and federal, sitting or working in a variety of courts, litigating and writing appellate briefs, other legal writing, as law clerk for an Ohio court, law clerk for a United States court of appeals, providing legal services to a federal agency and numerous other legal experiences.Jim has always been a good success in his professional and academic career, having received many awards and recognition. He has been a member of the Cincinnati Bar Association, the American Bar Association, and the Ohio Bar Association, and has served on a variety of professional committees. He has also been an inaugural member of the board of directors for the Association for Legal Services in Ohio.In his personal life, Jim is interested in government and public policy, and spends his time reading, writing, andimproving his legal skills. He is also a member of several community organizations, including the United Chanery of Cincinnati, and is involved in many other personal and professional pursuits.

Peer wisdom has always been a key part of Jim's work life. He began his career working in sales and customer relationship management. In his early career, he developed and implemented systems that gave sales teams increased visibility and increased ability to closed deals. He has also learned that it is important to use his skills to connect with his team and share the same goals.
