I'm a strategist and evangelist for Salesforce, the world's fastest growing software company, voted the most innovative company in the world for the last 4 years (Forbes). When I'm not talking about technology, big data or digital marketing at a conference somewhere, you will probably find me racing a bicycle, writing, drinking whiskey or eating a good cheese.
In past lives I have owned my own agency, written some books and worked for brands such as Nike, MTV, Rovio, Zynga, Dell, BMW and Vodafone. I have worked on strategic accounts with Facebook’s largest ad agency, built one of the UK’s largest social media program for Phones 4u Group and led the social strategy team for Adobe EMEA. I have also spent some time as a cocktail bartender and a giraffe keeper!

I am passionate about building communities and helping brands to stand for something bigger than themselves. I love the way Steve Jobs described his work at Apple and I have a similar feeling about what we are doing at Salesforce ~ “We exist at the intersection of humanity and technology”. In real terms, that means I spend a lot of my time talking about customer journeys, the Internet of Things, loyalty, business strategy, social business, measurement and big data.
A handful of the people I look to for inspiration are ~ Elon Musk, Marc Benioff, Brian Solis, Seth Godin, Simon Sinek, Nate Silver and Jason Silva.

I am responsible for digital strategy as part of the marketing team (across our email, mobile and social business) for Marketing Cloud ~ the industry leading suite of marketing tools built by Salesforce.
My day to day role includes digital marketing strategy (internally and for our enterprise clients) ~ building brand awareness, evangelism, planning customer journeys, community growth, partner relations, thought leadership, social business, campaign / media planning, data-driven research and adding value to client groups that drives sales. I am also responsible for the content delivered at our industry events and seminars.

I’d love to tell you more… From March 2014 to Present (1 year 10 months) Head of Social Strategy EMEA @ As the Head of Social Strategy for Adobe Marketing EMEA, I worked with large enterprise clients and strategic accounts to build digital marketing strategies, focused around social business and Omni-channel marketing strategies. Working with the full suite of products from the Adobe Marketing Cloud, I helped brands to understand Adobe's vision, while explaining complex topics such as social ROI (return on investment), NPS (net promoter score), ROPO (research online / purchase offline), attribution, social TV, multi-channel media planning and consumer behaviour.
As a social evangelist within the EMEA organisation, I speak at conferences, write research papers and wax lyrical about the future of social business. From September 2012 to March 2014 (1 year 7 months) Head of Social Strategy @ TBG are the largest Facebook & Twitter advertiser in the world. They are also the worlds largest independent social media specialist dealing with brands such as Walmart, Dell, Vodafone, Zynga and Heineken.
As Head of Social Strategy for TBG, I helped to create social media strategies, specialising in Facebook and Twitter. TBG creates innovative creative campaigns that deliver a clear and concise ROI. From March 2012 to September 2012 (7 months) Head of Social Media @ Head of Social Media for the UK's leading mobile phone retailer, with over 470 stores nationwide. From January 2011 to February 2012 (1 year 2 months) Writing & Social Media Consultancy @ Part-time brand consultancy & social media strategy for a large UK retailer, whilst I was writing my book, "Sex, Brand's & Rock'n'Roll". From February 2010 to January 2011 (1 year) Marketing Director @ A family owned gourmet food company providing food products to the likes of British Airways, Manchester United, Fortnum & Mason, Selfridges, John Lewis and Waitrose. they also have a retail operation serving 1500 independent deli's and farm shops across the UK. As their brand manager I oversee all marketing and communications, both above and below the line. From January 2007 to April 2010 (3 years 4 months) Managing Director @ Manchester, London, Bradford. Creative agency account manager for Reebok, Millets, PC World, MTV and Innocent Drinks. From January 2005 to November 2008 (3 years 11 months) Partner @ Partner in Swift Printing covering the Unilever and Green Isle Food accounts ; responsible media and print buying for brands such Marmite, Knorr, Golden Wonder, Pot Noodle and Good Fellas Pizza.
