As a web developer, I am excited about code. There is nothing better than the rush I get when I fix a bug or all my tests pass after working hard to solve a complex problem. Before graduating from Dev Bootcamp, I was a finance attorney at a Chicago law firm; drafting and negotiating complex legal documents was surprisingly good preparation for locating bugs and structuring code. Finding creative ways to solve problems while keeping client objectives in mind is another skill I honed during my legal career.
I like to build things: web apps, mobile apps, IKEA furniture. I want to learn new languages and frameworks, and become more proficient in the ones I already know. I want to fix bugs and refactor code. I'd also love to teach and mentor people of all ages new to code, particularly women and other folks from groups who are underrepresented in technology.
I would love to talk with you about code, development, and the tech market in Chicago. You can reach me at [email protected]
