💼 Past Experience

Jeff began his formal career in1986 as an R&D engineer at Texas Instruments, then at Akamai Technologies as a performance engineer. He was promoted to Regional Vice President of Engineering at Texas Instruments in 2004, then to President and CEO at Akamai Technologies in 2006. He is a Professor of Electrical Engineering at Rice University and an inventor at Texas Instruments, Akamai Technologies, and Rice University. He has also been a Visiting Professor at MIT Lincoln Laboratory and the University of Texas at Austin.Jeff Thue holds more than 100 patents in the building materials and component manufacturing industries. Component Manufacturing and Reaves Buildings is a leading provider of construction materials and accessory systems to building owners and developers across the United States. Thue’s team provides experienced and technical support to builders, and their products are known for their durability,EPA compliance, and eco-friendliness.Thue joined Component Manufacturing and Reaves Buildings in 2006 after a three-year stint at Stonington-based International Paper. During his time there, he was responsible for the company’sipper line and product lines, as well as its wholly owned subsidiary, Stonington-based Vectra. Thue has a degree in aerospace engineering from the University of Alabama and a Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Business Administration from Bryant University.
