CMTS for DOCSIS modems. a simple customer management system for the CMTS. OSFP for routing and redundant links. From June 2005 to Present (10 years 7 months) Systems Engineer @ Worked on a large scale email system that serviced 500,000 customers. Implemented new spam filtering software for the service. The new system was deployed using puppet. Worked with a team of people to troubleshoot problems and improve the system for our customers. Created custom nagios checks for various systems in the larger MediaTemple infrastructure. Configuration management for systems at MediaTemple is done with puppet. Puppet experience included understanding, maintaining, and, debugging a large set of existing puppet scripts and templates (.erb files). Created new generic and site specific puppet modules. Used PXE, kickstart, and puppet to automate the deployment of new machines.
