We started with a simple idea - focus on the problem you are trying to solve, happy user experiences and great execution is guided by that principle. We are a small team of designers and developers who love what we do and put a lot of heart into our projects. From January 2013 to Present (3 years) Melbourne, AustraliaAssociate @ From September 2012 to Present (3 years 4 months) Melbourne, AustraliaSenior UX designer @ I helped the Qantas/Jetstar Group build a new online business in the accommodation space. Qantas, Jetstar and Hooroo have now launched their respective hotel booking sites. I gained valuable experience working in an agile environment and played a role integrating UI & UX into the agile process. From August 2011 to June 2012 (11 months) UX and UI designer @ My departure into freelancing was motivated by wanting to spend more time dealing directly with clients and exploring running my own business. It has given me the opportunity to focus on delivering user experiences that encompass all aspects of building a website, not just great design. It’s been an extraordinary experience and I’m looking forward to many new opportunities this year. From April 2009 to 2012 (3 years) Melbourne, AustraliaSenior Manager @ During my time at Deloitte I worked with a large team of engineers, business analysts and creatives to build enterprise, content managed solutions for clients such as nab Capital, Country Road, Sustainability Victoria and Australia Post. We focused on the user experience with usability testing and research as inputs into the final deliverable. From December 2006 to April 2009 (2 years 5 months) Senior UI Designer @ After spending a year traveling around the UK and Ireland I returned to Cape Town and joined Ripe. During my four years there I focused on the user experience, using Flash, 3D and sound as my tools. I worked with a highly motivated and creative team that helped me refine my design and animation skills. From February 2002 to February 2006 (4 years 1 month) Senior UI Designer @ I started work at Rufus Leonard on my arrival in the UK and took on the role of senior designer for the Royal Mail web site. Working on a project of such a large scale made me think about design slightly differently, the goals were still usability related, but coordinating a common approach between many designers became the most important task. From May 2000 to January 2001 (9 months) Designer @ During my years at iafrica.com/Logical I broadened my design skills and knowledge of Internet technologies. It was here that I became a student of usability, I realised that on the Internet functionality is king and design was not frivolous, but crucial to the end product. I worked on numerous blue chip accounts, which included both content driven and e-commerce sites.
