Front End Developer (Javascript) @ Currently working within the Audience Facing Services team. I am working on a project to create responsive versions of the widgets and components that are used across many BBC sites. This involves re-writing the existing PHP and Javascript code using a TDD and BDD approach (Jasmine and Cucumber). I am mainly focused on re-writing the Javascript part of the commenting module that is used on many BBC sites.

No live or public urls From October 2012 to January 2014 (1 year 4 months) Client Side/Javascript Developer @ Working at the World Service involved extensive use of OO Javascript and the integration of 27 languages. Initially I worked on the Queens Jubilee, creating an accessible quiz in Javascript, next I worked on the Olympic offering from the World Service, using Ajax (XML feeds) to create up to date medal tables relevant to each language, a table of the top 5 countries by medals won, the latest gold medalist and a schedule showing the next 5 events of the day.
Next I worked on Responsive Design Project for the World Service, using a mobile first approach. We initially developed for 3 languages (Indonesian, Hausa and Russian) on mobile and tablet, introducing translations and configurations to the existing BBC News code. All code was tested using QUnit, PHPUnit and Cucumber. SASS was used to handle different languages requirements such as RTL and LTR.

I was involved with the complete project life-cycle associated with creating a high-end transactional website; building pages from designs, creating prototypes, general maintenance and defect fixing. From October 2008 to September 2011 (3 years) Front End Developer @ Working on the Nature Palgrave site, I completely recoded the front-end of the site to a required high standard of accessibility using compliant web standard XHTML. The work was done within a velocity templating system.

The work involved working with Venda's only code (Perl based) within a team of designers and developers. I worked on a number of sites such as BT and those listed below.
