I started as an XSLT dev at Nature, was promoted to Senior, then decided to learn Java, dropping back down to Junior. Was promoted again, after teaching myself Java (getting 90% in my OCJP - woo hoozers!). I'm currently enjoying the considerably less verbose world of Ruby.
In each role I've been an advocate for BDD and TDD. I'm told by colleagues that they enjoy reading my project documentation, and I'm a dab hand at producing colourful architecture diagrams.
I like to learn - it's this that propels me.
