We have taken IBM FlashSystems to number 1 market share in less than 2 years. I lead the development, production, and program management of the Texas Memory Systems acquisition. Responsible to manage this acquisition to meet revenue and profit growth commitments as well as growing the technical skill base to support this business growth. In this role I am responsible for performance optimized NAND Flash arrays development and delivery. These solutions are enterprise class Tier 0 and Tier 1 storage solutions. I have system development responsibility including architecture, hardware and FPGA design, firmware and software, as well as test and field/customer support. From August 2012 to April 2015 (2 years 9 months) Vice President Modular and Blades Server Dev @ Responsible for the systems development of the 4 and 8 way x86 servers, blades, and PureFlex - - next generation integrated platform. PureFlex was designed to integrate compute, IO, storage, and switching as well as the management and virtualization software.
In addition I managed the Taiwan Systems and Technology Lab where the development of 2 socket rack and tower takes place. From 2009 to August 2012 (3 years) VP Blades and Modular Server and Storage Development @ Responsible for the development of IBM's x86 based servers including blades, racks and towers. In addition development responsibility for the mid range storage products. Responsible for the conception and implementation of the idataplex family to address the HPC and scale out datacenter requirements.
Built the Taiwan Systems and Technology Lab from less then 50 skills to greater than 250 skills - transferring the development of 2 socket racks and towers to that team. From 2006 to 2009 (3 years) VP Operations and Software Development @ Executive responsibility to integrate the IBM PC Co into Lenovo as part of that acquisition. I had line responsibility for software development of the commercial desktops and ThinkPad notebooks as well as operational responsibility that included working with the Olympic committee with responsibility for computer hardware and team at the 2006 Winter Olympic Games in Torino Italy.
