After 3 years the company is more than 3 times the size of its first incarnation with 11 full time staff and a projected turnover of 3.5M in 2016. StreetPR has more than 2500 active staff members nationally. We interview and personally train every single staff member at regular training sessions which we operate across the UK. We only use staff we have interviewed and trained, which helps us provide consistent outstanding quality of service to all StreetPR clients. Embracing the latest technology, StreetPR can execute anything from a nationally coordinated promotional campaign, involving complicated logistics, to new customer acquisition campaigns driven by specific, targeted demographics and ‘cost per acquisition’ targets. The trip didn't always go to plan - not that we really had a plan for such a trip, but it was an incredible experience! We travelled to more than 30 countries, covered 50,000km, on road, off road and everything in-between. As well as our blog which had over 100,000 followers, we were featured on many news channels including the BBC, and others in India, Iran, and Georgia. We were also featured in the new version of Chris Scott's Adventure Motorcycling Handbook which came out in October 2012. Our blog can be found at www.jamesandcat.com We have no big trips planned for the near future due to commitments to work, but smaller trips and another large trip in the long term are definitely on the cards. From June 2011 to June 2012 (1 year 1 month) MD @ met the owner whilst running my own projects in Central London. He was looking for someone to move him away from what was essentially a nightlife tour business and more into the mass market of impulse sales. He saw my individual success and actually turned up at many of my events to try and persuade me to join him. I took over the management and after "letting go" 70% of its part time work force I set about rebuilding the business with a different structure. It was made clear to me that the owner's dream was to deal with over 1000 customers a week. Four months after I had taken over we were hitting that target and this meant we had grown the company by a massive 750 customers per week. After 12 months we were up to 1500 - 2000 customers a week giving us a turnover of over £60,000 per month and a near complete monopoly of the market. I had opened up doors with many more clubs and promoters than he had worked with previously, and improved the deals (commission percentage) we were getting. I also recruited a large sales team, built their payment structures, oversaw recruitment and even did the sales training and motivational speeches. The day to day running of the business also fell under my control, including all finances, opening and closing the shop, and dealing with the council and police when required. I worked with ths project for 2 years and eventually left to set up my own company and just before the business was bought out by Ripley's Museum in the Piccadilly Trocadero. From January 2004 to September 2006 (2 years 9 months) Head Of Student Events @ I was head-hunted by the then Managing Director and introduced to the owner of Beluga Blues, one of London's premier nightclub events organisers, who launched new venues and ran weekly events at top-end clubs such as Elysium, CC Club, Rouge, China White, Firehouse and Trap. I was asked to bring my student contacts and experience to the table and set up and run a Student Division of the business on behalf of the MD. We called it "Get A Student Life" and went on to run 3 events a week, entertaining over 2000 students weekly by the end of the year in 2003.
