📖 Summary
Transport Engineer @ From January 2015 to Present (1 year) Perth, AustraliaPostgraduate - Urban & Regional Planning @ Undertook a Master of Urban & Regional Planning at Oxford Brookes University (Oxford, United Kingdom) through Curtin University's Study Abroad programme. Successfully completed a dissertation aimed at identifying the most critical factors affecting the success or failure of public bicycle schemes. The project surveyed approximately 30 of the largest schemes in operation throughout the world in order to establish why some schemes achieve much higher levels of ridership than others. The paper used its findings to set-out a number of key recommendations for Australian cities on how they could best implement successful public bicycle schemes in the future. From 2013 to 2014 (1 year) Site Engineer @ Site engineer at the Jimblebar project, approximately 45km north-east of Newman. Managed the construction of 11km of new roads and 10km of new rail that will service the crushing, screening and train load-out facilities for iron ore from BHPBIO's Jimblebar mine expansion. Engaged a number of subcontractors to carry out sealing, asphalting and guardrail works. From 2011 to 2013 (2 years) Undergraduate Engineer @ As part of my final year university research dissertation I engaged in UWA's CEED (Cooperative Engineering Enterprise Development) program in conjunction with Fremantle Ports. My thesis analysed whether a predictable relationship exists between wharf age and condition. The basis of the project involved converting many thousands of pieces of historical maintenance inspection data into numerical condition ratings. From August 2010 to June 2011 (11 months) Undergraduate Engineer @ Vacation Student at the Area H Dredging Pond Bulk Earthworks Project at Wedgefield, Port Hedland. Gained experience in various aspects of project engineering such as materials control, procurement, quality assurance, traffic management, project safety, environmental monitoring and project administration.
