IT Engineer @ From August 2015 to Present (5 months) IT Services @ I manage the delivery support of our core infrastructure, advising on Technical issues, incidents problems and changes and ensure we follow ITIL guidelines to record these. I provide the link between the company, development team and third-parties/customers. I organise and chair regular service review meetings and ensure they are fully documented and that all actions are progressed within a timely manner with senior account and service delivery managers, this ensures the IT service meets the needs of the business, and that issues are documented and resolved in the agreed SLA, I am also responsible for process planning, and infrastructure solution design. I also manage hardware issues, troubleshoot LAN WAN issues, I am involved with the administration and Management of Windows 2008 \ Linux servers and Active Directory, MongoDB, both Virtual (VMWare VCentre) and physical servers, I am also responsible for maintaining regulatory requirements related to ISO 27001, including internal audit and PCI-DSS policies. I am involved in the delivery and implementation of IT Projects, Process planning, throughout the development/project life cycle. As well as configuring and implementing systems to meet customer requirements using suitable IT solutions, I have a clear understanding of all contracted SLA’s and KPI’s with a key responsibility to ensure they are delivered..I identify opportunities for growth of services and the purchase and provision of the infrastructure, working with the technical solution teams to deliver these projects. This also includes completing the service support documentation to identify cost reductions through proactive Problem Management whilst maintaining agreed service levels. From January 2012 to August 2015 (3 years 8 months) Support Analyst @ Current role responsibilities include administering EMC Networker on Linux and Windows based operating systems, as well as liaising with third party contacts (HP/IBM, EMC etc). Checking all services to make sure they have the latest software version. I work alongside other support teams for OS/Hardware issues, providing route cause analysis and assisting in problem management through the use of ITIL to ensure incidents are escalated accordingly and resolved. I am also responsible for gathering and reporting on key financial systems and business critical services. My current role also involves collecting information from the Configuration Management Database and importing the data into an SQL database to allow DPA to report on backup success and performance. Key tasks also include liaising with service owners, providing feedback on backup statistics and ensuring the SQL database is up to date. Tape Capacity/thresholds must be monitored to ensure remote sites and central services to have enough tapes on a daily basis. From July 2005 to December 2012 (7 years 6 months) Network Controler @ 07/2005 - 08/2008 Network Control - Unilever Main duties were to manage and administer a Global Network, monitoring over 1000 server’s worldwide using Tivoli software and Formula. Providing administration over Windows NT/ 2000/ 2003, UNIX, Linux, AIX, SAP, Citrix and VMware. Other duties involved monitoring Oracle Databases and SAN Storage to ensure there availability. Working to ITIL guidelines to ensure all SLA’s were met as well as monitoring user accounts on Active Directory using MOM. Through Networker/Legato backups were monitored and restores were performed. This position became the central point of contact for any urgent issue due to unplanned outages etc. It was essential to keep the business informed of any relevant incidents through to resolution. From July 2005 to December 2012 (7 years 6 months) Global Technical Support/Remote Managed Services @ Main duties were to remotely manage servers using VPN and maintaining a Global Windows 2000 server environment. Administering Active Directory 2000, installing software for users remotely and the administration of secure id’s for Laptop users. The administration of AS400’s, UNIX, AIX, Linux, and Cisco routers was also a key part to this role. I had to ensure all relevant servers had current virus definitions using Antigen for exchange servers and a variety of other Anti Virus products. I was also responsible for monitoring the network status of all customers located on the WAN. Using VERITAS we were able to conduct backups and restores.
