Prior to joining Maximus, James Glasgow was the Vice President of Operations at a major logistics company, where he led the business’s product development, strategy, retail and wholesale operations.Prior to this, James Glasgow held various management roles at J.P. James Glasgow studied at Carl Sandburg Galesburg, Illinois, where he majored in Music education, and was also a part of the School of Education and professor of music, theatre and film production. Glasgow has since retired from his profession, but still engages in music education that he has enjoyed throughout his life.GlAS: Glasgow earned bachelor's degree in music education from Carl Sandburg Galesburg, Illinois in 1978. After completion of his Bachelor of Science degree in Education, Glasgow entered the workforce as a music teacher. After only a few years, Glasgow began teaching music at the Iola School District in Iola, Kansas. He held the position for seventeen years. During this time, he led a teams of music teachers who housedVoice of America High School choir, produced educational plays for the the school district, and coached Pre-kindergarten through third grade students in Iola.In 2003, James Glasgow was selected as a recipient of the Kansas Arts license and was given the opportunity to teach students of all ages in the Pine Ridge school board. Upon the opening of the new Pine Ridge School, James Glasgow deaned a choir of first grade students in his new school. The year following, he led a school-wide concert to benefit the school board and provide special benefits for the students and their families.In 2006, Glasgow was named an instructor at the Koch Preschool in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Koch Preschool is a private pre-kindergarten-through-4th grade school that is used by the Koch family as a model for early childhood education.In fall 2006, Scottish started working as a teaching assistant with the K-8th grade students at the Cornerstone Group Charter School in Over-the-Rhine, Cincinnati, Ohio. Cornerstone is a comprehensive Pre-K-8th grade charter school that opened in 2002. On December 12, 2006, Scottish became the first assistantteacher in the history of Cornerstone Group Charter School.After nearly two decades of leaving his teaching post to pursue a career as a music educator, in 2013 Glasgow was awarded an appointment as an instructor in the music education program at the University of Colorado at Boulder.Since arriving atCU Boulder, Glasgow has taught undergraduate music students as well as post-graduate music students in the Department of Music. Glasgow has also been invited to be a Guest instructor at the University of Colorado at Boulder's Hartsel School of Theology. Glasgow is the current president of the American Music Teachers Association's Colorado region.James Glasgow is married to Kathy and has three children. James and Kathy reside in Council Bluffs, Iowa.
