I'm a manager, programmer on the side, and a technologist with a passion for instructional design. I'm formerly a member of the Web/UI Development team at LinkedIn, where I've helped to build the largest economic opportunity in the world. My management experience is with teams under 20. Good management for me focuses on the development of exceptional people. I find talent in the valley to be the most scarce and valuable resource; I don't think we do enough to cultivate the talent we harbor in-house. My technical experience aligns the most with front-end development and web standards. I'm most skilled in HTML, CSS, JavaScript though I am also familiar with Java, node.js, and Objective-C. At my core, I'm a client side developer. I probably have some esoteric PHP knowledge somewhere in my head. I believe great engineering goes beyond solving a complex technical problem and must address the human component.
