Jairo Romo Marugan was born in San Diego, California in March 2013. He has a BSc from the University of San Diego and a JD from the University of California, Berkeley. He has had experience in the business world since he was a legal advisor at Wipro Limited, where he was responsible for internationalization of the Corporate Supply Management System. From there, he moved to the position of Sr. Business Advisory at UST Global, where he was responsible for leading the expansion into Mexico, Peru, Colombia and other countries. He also worked with C-level advisory and strategic partners at Union Fenosa. In his time at UST Global, he focused on developing a plan for expansion into Colombia, supported by C-level connections and partnerships. He also worked with Microsoft in the role of senior advisor to the Blockchain section of the CTO of worldwide services, defining the Blockchain portfolio vision, strategy and roadmap. In 2017, he joined Wipro Limited as a Sr. Business Advisor. There, he was responsible for developing and overseeing solutions for western US and Latin American clients, primarily in the business areas of finance, insurance, supply chain, telco, energy and utilities, healthcare, and innovation. He is also a thought leader and market positioner in the blockchain field, and is a prominent member of the industry / technology consortium working groups and communities. He has also worked with venture capital firms and innovation groups, and has helped clients develop significant new solutions that have had a serious impact on the growth and profitability of his clients.
