Jack's a social media junkie who probably spends too much of his time on social networks. Jack lives and breaths social media, and is absolutely obsessed and focus in driving social media success for brands. He has 5 years of social media marketing experience under his belt, running more than 100 social campaigns and managing many social communities across various platforms - local & regional.

From April 2015 to Present (8 months) Beijing City, ChinaDigital Marketing Manager (Social Media) @ Xiaomi is known globally for its innovative, quirky, and social-first approach which drives unbelievable engagement on social media platforms through viral content. This is a company that's truly 100% focused on social media to spread the word of mouth, by making friends with our fans. Building (real) relationships with fans through social media platform, and tying back to e-commerce with the help of these fans to spread the word of mouth organically, is what Xiaomi does best in China. Jack has deep understanding of such a marketing model, and has since help the brand launch outside China on Facebook and Twitter in Singapore, Philippines and India. As a core member of the Xiaomi Global team based in Beijing, Jack is primarily responsible for creating and managing Xiaomi's expansion on social media channels around the world, with both global focus and local touch. Jack defines, creates and manages Xiaomi's user voice & tone internationally, and is wholly focused developing it into a similarly friendly conversational personality as what Xiaomi has accomplished in China. Jack currently heads marketing for Xiaomi Singapore after helping launch Xiaomi globally in the Philippines, and India. He has also grown the Xiaomi Singapore Facebook page to over 100,000 fans organically within 308 days — an impressive milestone in the world of social. Game on folks, this is the real deal as Jack propels Xiaomi into the global brand it could be.
Besides Singapore, Jack has also successfully replicated the Xiaomi social model to help launch in markets like Philippines and India.

Jack moved into the Strategic Marketing division, where he assisted all 5 different business units within to do social media marketing. The diversity of the business units enabled him to do social media marketing for on-ground events (e.g. 3-on-3 basketball, soapbox racing), loyalty rewards programme (MEclub) and other digital web properties.

Aug 2012 to Mar 2013:
Jack began working on digital marketing for an e-commerce site, where he grew his experience through a mix of digital marketing channels, including SEM (AdWords), banner display campaigns (GDN, YouTube) to run branding ads, Facebook Marketing through contests and media buy to engage target audience, including lead generation and conversion.
Jack also successfully grew their Facebook page with owned and paid media from 1,000 to 15,000 fans, through a series of fan engagement (content strategy and Facebook apps) with an average engagement rate of 3%. Jack also initiated new social initiatives like Live Streaming for publishers to engage with their fans.
Jack worked with Twitter (Komli Media) to advertise on their Ad Platform in Asia when they first launched in December 2012, managing 5-figure budget to grow the store’s Twitter followers worldwide, optimizing campaign bids along the way to achieve efficient budget spend after being trained on the ad platform and learning best practices from the kind folks at Twitter. From August 2012 to February 2014 (1 year 7 months) Social Strategist @ Jack is responsible for even more strategy development and execution of exciting and challenging social media initiatives for clients.
Taking on a more active role as Account Lead for Converse APAC at Flok, Jack is now helping the brand establish a stronger social media presence in the Asia Pacific region, including but not limited to, campaign support, competitor’s analysis, APAC local market social strategy, and social media trend reports.
Jack helped Flok achieve Facebook Preferred Marketing Developer(PMD) status in 2012 - one of only 233 companies world-wide that have a uniquely close relationship with Facebook to deliver exemplary and high quality marketing services for its clients. Ultimately, Jack has a job but never needs work a single day. From August 2011 to August 2012 (1 year 1 month) Junior Social Strategist @ Jack is responsible for strategy development and execution of social media initiatives for clients.
Jack also establishes social media programs and initiatives including monitoring social media activity, engaging within social media channels on behalf of brands where necessary, and responding to client requirements as required.
As a strategist, Jack assists in the development of social media strategy and integrated campaigns aligned with the brand and business goals of Flok’s clients.
He likes to stay at the leading edge of the development and release of new emerging technologies within the digital marketing and general online space. Generally consumes social media knowledge for lunch, and keeps ahead in the social sphere for desserts.
At times where Jack isn’t doing actual work, he is thinking hard to determine consistent optimizations for social media campaigns. His desire to come up with the “next big social thing” for clients keeps him awake late at night.

He has worked with multiple reporting & analytics tool to monitor engagement on various social media platforms, analyze, and make recommendations for action. Build and manage metrics reporting and analysis is important – because your social strategy success is only as good story that numbers tell.
In the short stint of less than a year with Flok, he has ran over 20 social media projects, largely on Facebook, for clients such as Converse, NIVEA, 7UP, Smirnoff, Nike, Toshiba and DBS. Planned and grew facebook community size from 2,000 to 57,000 fans.
