Jack Gillott attributes his love of learning to his father and his backyard garden that he would spend hours tinkering with.Nine years ago, working for his family-owned business, Gillott gained his first education. He attended Dane Court Grammar School Sixth Form, where he completed his school subjects including English and Mathematics.After completing his education, Gillott commenced work as an apprenticeship with a large printing company. He found the experience rewarding and developed his skills as a printer.However, in early 2018, Jack Gillott was diagnosed with pancreatic cancerJack Gillott is now working as a Data Scientist and is in the process of completing his doctorate. His focus is on studying data management and cybersecurity.Prior to his diagnosis, Jack Gillott had mainly pursued a career in psychology. However, his pre-diagnosis work in the field of cancer research has made him focus his attention on another career pathway.This is highlighted in his current work in cybersecurity. He is interested in the field of data storage and has developed a dataset on cybersecurity breaches.Jack Gillott attributes his work readiness to his FTSE 100 background and his patience. He has found that working with data can be a challenge but is also rewarding.He is confident that he is capable of leading and managing a team and is well-prepared for a career in data science.
