JD Smithson is... First off I am a people person. I love making you laugh, smile, and feel good about yourself when you are around me. I aim to please you. There is nothing more important than building and earning respect and trust from other people, whether it be coworkers, vendors, customers, etc. I will always treat you like a human being and do my best to meet your needs. Reading people is about understanding their role and listening to their concerns, questions, etc. by getting on a level playing field with them. It is easy for me to adjust my communications skills so that I can understand all aspects of a product, industry, company, etc. a person has communicated to me. After LISTENING, I will earn your trust in our relationship to solve any problems together. That is where the integrity of my name and company come int to play. So, I DO find real joy in building and maintaining strong relationships and get excited to see us both succeed. Next, I would say I am a quick learner. Whatever it is, ERP Software Implementation, product/process knowledge, and/or any other tasks, I will make sure I learn and follow the current procedures in a timely fashion. Most of the time, by learning all aspects of something, I can create a more efficient process to a task that will not only save time, but money. Being a quick & systematic learner, has helped me reduce quite a bit of costs in the past. Cutting major cost off of the bottom line is huge, so learning the process quickly is my best approach to the company's success. There are much more, but I would say a good third trait that is near to me is accuracy. Whether it be costing/pricing analysis, inventory forecasting , or providing feedback to a customer, the more accurate up front I can be, the better it is for both the customer and myself. You do not want to consistently provide someone with inaccurate information. This can affect your relationship with each other and ruin our established trust.
