Product consulting @ Bay-Area Environmentally Aware Consulting Network (BEACN) Product consulting for various startups. Clients included Wheelz, a ridesharing company acquired by RelayRides, and Free Flow Wines, a wine-kegging company. From January 2012 to May 2013 (1 year 5 months) Berkeley, CaliforniaEconomics Tutor @ Private Tutoring I started a tutoring company to help my peers at Berkeley do better in their classes. The average student I tutored experienced more than a letter grade increase in their economics and math classes. From October 2011 to January 2013 (1 year 4 months) Berkeley, CaliforniaData Analyst @ Compass Labs Compass Labs was a social marketing platform providing campaign management tools, analytics and CLIQ in order to execute ad campaigns. I worked on algorithms that optimized ad targeting by using statistical machine learning techniques like k-means clustering. From 2012 to 2012 (less than a year) Director, Product @ Fleetsmith I was the first product hire at Fleetsmith and bootstrapped the product organization (ranging from establishing process, goals, c-suite expectations, and hiring/mentoring a team.) When I joined, Fleetsmith was pre-product market fit, and now we're in the growth stage. Collaborating with the founders, I formed the first iteration of our go-to-market team. Together, we iterated on a variety of different levers to drive business growth beyond purely product initiatives. Additionally, because we didn't have a growth team or mature marketing team in 2018, I launched a 6-month growth experiment initiative which engaged the entire company in ideating, executing on, and measuring growth experiments. I also started and lead the support team by hiring our first product and support specialist, establishing processes for scale, and setting expectations for best-in-class support metrics. After leading the support team for a year, I hired an incredible director of support to take over. From December 2017 to November 2018 (1 year) San Francisco Bay AreaProduct Manager @ Dropbox My product management work has ranged from infrastructure level initiatives, specifically in the context of security and abuse prevention, to building out a new desktop presence that facilitates collaboration and productivity around files. I came to Dropbox by way of the Dropbox Rotation Program and also spent a couple of months on the sales team when I first joined. From August 2015 to November 2017 (2 years 4 months) San Francisco Bay AreaBoard Member @ La Charla La Charla is a nonprofit aimed at decreasing teen pregnancy and increasing access to higher education for teens in rural Nicaragua. I serve as an advisor and board member, primarily focusing on operations. San Francisco Bay AreaVP, Product @ Fleetsmith I lead a talented team of product managers and designers in building a device management product that enables customers to effortlessly onboard, secure, and manage Apple devices without the domain expertise that's been historically needed. From November 2018 to February 2020 (1 year 4 months) Analyst @ Charles River Associates I worked in the Antitrust & Competition division of Charles River Associates. We provided economic analysis and testimony for antitrust and merger cases. I conducted end-to-end economic analysis (data cleaning, modeling, and visualization) for trials. In addition to doing my “day” job of analysis for trials, I automated several of my peer’s workflows by researching and then building flexible merger simulation models. From 2014 to 2014 (less than a year) San Francisco Bay AreaResearch Assistant for Vera te Velde, Professor at University of Queensland @ Department of Economics, UC Berkeley We created experiments on Mechanical Turk to analyze the effect of social norms on people’s economic behavior. Once we collected enough data from these experiments, I ran regression analysis via Stata and R. From 2013 to 2014 (1 year) Research Assistant for Dr. Michel Serafinelli, Professor at University of Toronto @ Department of Economics, UC Berkeley I derived mathematical models that simulated worker flows in Veneto, Italy. Specifically, I would derive these theoretical models from first principles independently from Dr. Serafinelli as a means to double check his work. From 2012 to 2013 (1 year) GTM & Product Strategy @ Various Clients I help various early stage startups (pre-seed through Series B) with their go to market and product strategy.Companies I've worked with and/or are currently working with:Marionet (https://www.marionet.ai/)Pesto (https://www.pesto.tech/)
